OVERVIEW
This Parish section of the website has been collated by David Wild.
These files contain information on the known
parishes within the East of London FHS area (the London Boroughs of Barking &
Dagenham, Hackney, Havering, Newham, Redbridge and Tower Hamlets) and the location of
original records where known. An attempt has been made to locate each parish by place, but
due to the complicated way that civil and parish boundaries have changed over the years,
this should be regarded as a guide only.
The parishes are listed alphabetically in
Parish Index and abbreviations used for the location of
original records are listed in
Abbreviations & Addresses.
There may be records before or after the dates given and where they exist they are
probably with the parish. Where original records have not been deposited, other
information is given where known. Copies of the records may be available at local
libraries or at a local LDS Family History Centre. Information on church burials and some
burial grounds are included but details of more modern cemeteries can be found in
EoLFHS Cemeteries and Crematoria.

Many of the pages have pictures of churches
within the EoLFHS area. These pictures, which were sent in by our members.
