ADD (OR AMEND) YOUR MEMBER DETAILS AND SURNAMES TO THE ONLINE LISTS

First please check that your details are not already on line. Go to Member Profile and type in your membership number. Your details will be displayed if you have previously submitted them. There will also be a link to view the Surname Interests if they have also been submitted.

This combined form allows you to submit your surname interests to the web pages. Please note that you are invited to submit your interests for surnames you are researching outside the EoLFHS area.

SUBMITTING YOUR MEMBER DETAILS TO THE ONLINE LIST

You have several options and will be prompted as you complete the form.

  1. Submit your member details only and exclude surname interests.
  2. Submit your member details and include surname interests.
  3. Submitted amendments to your details already on line.

The information requested below is for informational purposes to help other members and visitors to the web site should they wish to contact you about common surname research. Please do not use this form to update your contact details with the Society - see the Contact Information page HERE

If you do not wish to submit any surnames to the online lists, or you are amending your member on line details, you can skip the next bit of this form and click the Submit button at the bottom of the page.

SUBMIT YOUR SURNAME INTERESTS TO THE ONLINE LIST:

You may also include surnames you are researching outside the EoLFHS area. For each surname submitted you must complete all the boxes across the row. This form allows you to enter up to 8 surnames. If you wish to add more, return to this form and complete again with the new entries.

The Period Column should show the range of years or dates you are researching for this surname. Acceptable formats are e.g.  1800-1920, or 18th - 20th C, or All or 1850s.

The Country column includes a drop down box with over 70 countries listed. The UK countries are listed at the top of the list, the remainder are shown alphabetically. If the country you wish to include is not in the list, type it into the Area box and the country will be added to the drop down list at the next update.

The County column is also a drop down box and includes over 250 counties, states or provinces for the following countries:  All UK including N. Ireland;  Republic of Ireland;  Canada;  USA;  Australia;  New Zealand. If you wish to indicate a province or state of a particular country which isn't in the list, type it into the Area box.

In the Area column, there is a link to EoL which is a page showing all the towns by Borough within the EoLFHS area. This page will open in a new window and may be helpful to you when entering a location in this box. For surnames outside the EoL area it is useful to include a locality in this Area box.

If you are conducting a One Name Study, please add ONS to the Area box and this information will be included on the surname pages when the details are transferred to the live database.
