NOTES ON MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS

The Society is pleased to offer subscription services in the new online Store. You can now renew your annual subscription and pay by Credit Card in the store.

Existing members will receive a Renewals form with the last Cockney Ancestor of the subscription year, which runs from 1 September to 31 August.

To help us deal with any membership problems it is essential to quote your membership number on all correspondence, this number is always shown on the address label that delivers your magazine. Please use this in all communications with the Society and when sending in cheques, ensure that your membership number is written on the reverse. Your membership number will be between 1 and 5 digits.

We have also had several requests to pay for more than one year at a time, this can be accepted up to a maximum of 5 years.

Note to Overseas Members
Because of bank charges for currency conversion we ask for all subscriptions to be paid in sterling. However, we will accept Dollar Bills (no 5 dollar bills from Australia, Canada and New Zealand) sent only at the sender's risk. The following subscription rates will apply:

Receipts:
Receipts will not be issued, unless a stamped addressed envelope accompanies your payment.

Magazine:
The autumn issue of the magazine will be dispatched only to those members who have renewed their subscription by early October. We no longer guarantee back issues for late renewals. You are therefore urged to complete the form (included with the latest magazine) and send it with your payment.

FORMER MEMBERS
If your subscription has lapsed over the last year or two and you now wish to renew for the year commencing September 2006, write to our Membership Secretary, with the following information:

• Name, full address, post (zip) code, country
• Email address
• Your membership no. (If this is not known, mention you were previously a member and we will try to reallocate your former number to you).
• The commencement date of your subscription
• The duration of your subscription (5 years maximum)
• Enclose the correct subscription amount (see Subscription Rates HERE)

OVERSEAS MEMBERS
Please note the following:

• "DO NOT" send coins through the Post, because we cannot cash "foreign" coins and there is a danger of loss.
• We "CANNOT" accept foreign cheques, drawn on an ordinary bank account outside the UK
• What we can accept is the following:
  • GBP Sterling drafts (drawn on a Bank in England)
  • GBP Sterling postal orders
  • GBP Sterling cheques (on accounts held in England)
  • Foreign notes (over 5.00 in value) but not coins

Any letters sent raising queries other than membership are passed on to the officer concerned on a monthly basis.
