COCKNEY ANCESTOR

The Society's magazine, the Cockney Ancestor, is posted to members four times a year. Each magazine contains a wealth of information for members including:

  • Editorial by the Executive Committee

  • Surname Interests submitted by members new to the Society since the last issue.

  • Articles submitted by members covering a range of topics

  • Book Reviews

  • Diary Dates for each of the Branches

  • Services to members including a Courier Service

The magazine is distributed four times a year generally around the dates shown on the grid below.

Note that:

  • The Summer issue contains the renewal application form for the 1 September to 31 August period. For many of you, this issue arrives after the new membership cycle begins; submit your renewal form and payment as soon as possible.
     
  • The Autumn Issue is the first of the new membership cycle starting September each year.
     
  • The above chart provides information on the anticipated arrival dates for the Cockney Ancestor for various countries. You may find this useful to know when to expect you next edition or if you should become concerned if it has not arrived.
     
  • If your CA has not arrived within three weeks after the above expected arrival date in your country, you may wish to contact the membership secretary whose address is on the inside front cover of the CA. Full details of who you should write are here:  FAQ QM5.
