This new feature on the website is the start of
what, hopefully, will grow into a collection of new resources for the researcher in East
London.
UPTON PARK FOOTBALL CLUB
Peter Hamersley, (#874) in Australia and co-researcher Peter Tymkow, have been researching
the players and officials of the former Upton Park Football Club. Two periods of time have
been identified, 1866 to 1887 and again from 1891 to 1911.
The first club were
the top club in the South from 1882 to 1884 when they were unlucky not to have reached the
FA Cup Final
The second Club were famous for representing
Great Britain at the 1900 Paris Olympics - and winning.
Peter is happy to receive enquiries and information about
the Club. Contact details are on each page.
