MEMBERS & SURNAMES DATABASE ON LINE

DATABASE SEARCHES
We now have the facility to carry out a variety of searches for Members Online and Members' Surname Interests.

The original pages, which were updated each month, were getting too long and taking too long to load in browsers. They were also heavily bookmarked as part of the Surname Helper program. This large amount of hidden code made some pages unstable with errors in display.  This has now been overcome by transferring all these records into a database on line which has fully functional search facilities.

Member Searches
You will now be able to search for a Member by name, number and even location as well as check your own Member Profile to review your own entries. The results of these searches will include Contact Information for each member. This Contact Information includes a further link to view all surnames submitted by that member. Each month you will also be able to see New Members Online added that month.

One major advantage to this method is that members' email addresses will no longer be displayed permanently on a web page. This will stop "harvesting" of email addresses by spammers as the search results pages are displayed on demand direct from the server.

Surname Searches
You can now view all  Surnames by alphabetical start letter, which links to a full list of members researching each surname.   Each month you will also be able to see New Surnames added this month.

VERIFY ENTRIES
Once you feel happy using these search facilities, can you please check your own entries by using the Member Profile search. If any information needs updating, let us know and your entries will be updated.
