EoLFHS EVENT AT THE BARKING FESTIVAL Saturday 24 May 2003
The Society is organising an
event which will take place at Barking Town Hall from 11.00a.m. to 5.00
p.m.on Saturday the 24th of May in conjunction with the Barking Festival.
Our bookstall and fiche collections will be there in full and the following
will be taking part.

MEMBERS' INTERESTS CD PLANNED
FOR 2002
Next year the Society will be publishing a new edition of the surname index
of member's interests. It will be in CD format and will be distributed to
members through an issue of Cockney Ancestor.
NOTE: Entries were closed on 31 January 2003.
Members who wish to update their interests are
asked to send their amendments to

Amendments must be received by 31st
January 2003 - any received after this date will not be included.
Please remember that members are allowed a maximum of 8 entries and any
alterations to the current listing must take this into account.

Members will be pleased to know that the Cockney Ancestor (No. 96) has been
shipped. UK members may already have received their copy (or will do so in
the next day or two). International members will receive their copy a few
days later.

East of London Family History Society (Barking Branch) on
Saturday 23 November from 10.00am to

THE 1901 CENSUS ONLINE
The Census is currently online as a
test site between 9.00 and 19.00 GMT Monday to Saturday. Several members in
the mailing list have already reported successful findings of their

SEPTEMBER 2002 ARE NOW DUE
Members by now will have received the latest issue of Cockney Ancestor No.
95 which is the last in the current subscription year. We hope that you have
enjoyed reading the magazine and will wish to continue your membership,
renewal of which is now due.
The autumn issue of the magazine No. 96 will be dispatched only to those
members who have renewed their subscription by early October. We no
longer guarantee back issues for late renewals. You are therefore
urged to complete the form (included with the latest magazine) and send it
with your payment.
